About The Position

The Gallery Sales Associate at Rosenbaum Contemporary is responsible for developing client relationships and generating sales in a fine art gallery setting. This role involves curating exhibitions, selecting artwork, tracking inventory, and coordinating gallery events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine art sales and management, with a focus on contemporary art.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in art history or related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in fine art sales.
• Minimum 2 years management experience.
• Proven experience selling contemporary paintings, drawings, photography, prints, and sculpture.
• Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal presentation skills.
• Mac fluency and experience using art database.
• Ability to handle fine artwork.

• Experience in market research (3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships and generate gallery sales through walk-in traffic and outreach.
• Curate and supervise the installation of gallery exhibitions.
• Work with the owner to select artwork for exhibitions and art fairs.
• Track inventory and research new artists and art fair opportunities.
• Coordinate and staff gallery events and art fairs.
• Assist in developing sales campaigns and related support materials.
• Gather information for inventory files, create invitations, and write news releases for exhibitions.
