As a member of the Money Management Center within the broader Student Success Center, the Financial Wellness Program Coordinator serves as a resource and advocate for all ETAMU students. By developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive financial wellness programming, this role will help students build the skills, confidence, and financial mindset necessary to excel during and beyond their time at East Texas A&M University. This position is responsible for organizing in-person and virtual outreach events that promote financial literacy and empower students to make informed financial decisions. The Financial Wellness Program Coordinator will also oversee the development of a Financial Professional Internship Program for students, including supervising participating interns and collaborating closely with the College-level faculty/staff to ensure alignment with academic standards, professional development goals, and experiential learning outcomes. This position requires strong public speaking, program development, supervision, and event planning skills, as well as the ability to engage student populations in educational programming. Due to the nature of student engagement and campus events, regular evening and after-hours work will be required. A flexible work week totaling 40 hours will be expected to accommodate programming needs. This is a grant-funded position. The anticipated duration of funding is a minimum of two and a half (2.5) years, aligned with the grant timeline. Continued employment is contingent upon renewed grant funding or restricted funds.
