About The Position
Siemens Mobility US is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern for the Financial Technologies (Treasury) Internship for Summer 2025. This internship is designed for aspiring Information Technology or Business Analytics/Data Analysis professionals who are interested in the application of digitalization and automation solutions to financial and commercial topics. The selected candidate will embark on a 10 to 12-week internship journey, gaining valuable exposure to the inner workings of the rail industry and the critical role that the Treasury Team plays in supporting Siemens Mobility's operations in the Americas. During this internship, you will become a vital member of the Treasury Team, where you will delve into various aspects of financial management, including guarantees and surety, cash management, and foreign exchange. You will also engage with commercial topics such as bid preparation and ongoing project management. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about standard processes within the Treasury function and to work closely with both internal and external finance professionals, as well as IT technical experts. Through shadowing and hands-on assignments, you will build practical knowledge and gain insights into finance products and functions, particularly those that leverage technology, such as artificial intelligence tools, Power Apps, and Tableau reports. The internship will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how collaboration across different areas of the Treasury and Mobility Americas organization drives success. You will have the chance to analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement through digitalization and automation solutions, enhancing your problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. This internship is an excellent opportunity for rising juniors or seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree, particularly those residing near New York City or in the Sacramento, CA area, to explore the exciting possibilities within the rail industry and Siemens.
