Position Overview The Financial Solutions Representative supports members by managing early-stage delinquent loans and accounts with care, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach. This role partners with members to understand their financial situation, establish workable payment arrangements, and resolve delinquencies while maintaining strong relationships. The Financial Solutions Representative also supports internal employees with collection-related inquiries and helps ensure collection activities align with policy, compliance, and member well-being.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of financial institution experience.
  • Spanish speaking skills required.
  • Must be available to on-site from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for initial six months of training.
  • Rotational Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior collections experience.
  • Knowledge of credit union products and consumer lending practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned queue of early-stage delinquent loans and accounts, contacting members to establish payment arrangements and resolve delinquencies.
  • Interview members to understand financial situations and offer solutions that support both the member and the credit union.
  • Answer inbound calls from employees regarding overrides, collection messages, and general delinquency questions.
  • Follow up on agreed payment arrangements and provide ongoing support to members experiencing financial hardship.
  • Monitor delinquency activity to meet collection metrics while ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify accounts or issues requiring escalation and partner with leadership for timely resolution.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to connect members with appropriate credit union products, services, or financial support resources.
