As a Financial Shared Services intern, you will have many opportunities to add value to our growing business and accounting function. You will gain exposure and practical experience working on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, while learning more about a career in Finance and creating career networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong work ethic and go-getter. Strives to deliver good work product
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Goal focused
  • Good communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Autonomous but can be directed to execute on tasks timely and successfully

Responsibilities

  • Tasks of general accounting: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or any combination of these areas
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
  • Performs timely follow-up on accounts payable communications and issues requiring special or urgent attention
  • Reconcile vendor & customer account statements
  • Reconcile aged open purchase order receipts to invoices and determine if write off is needed
  • Support and coordinate the activities of an AR portfolio
  • Perform timely follow-up on accounts receivable discrepancies and past due invoices
  • Participate in month-end financial closings, audit preparation, and other special projects as requested by Finance Shared Services management
