A nonprofit founded in 1969 in Charlotte, North Carolina, we have grown to become one of the largest providers of comprehensive substance use disorder treatment in western North Carolina. From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients’ journey to recovery. We are looking for passionate, detail-oriented professionals to join our team. McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently seeking a Full-time Financial Services Specialist in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). HOW WILL YOU HELP US ACHIEVE OUR MISSION? YOU WILL: Promote the mission, vision, and values of McLeod Centers for Wellbeing through ethical, accurate, and confidential financial practices Own the payroll process, including data entry, oversight, submission, issue resolution, and reporting Prepare payroll-related accrual journal entries, including pay period and vacation accruals Support the management and administration of the retirement program Maintain daily cash management files, perform discrepancy reviews, and manage positive pay processes Support financial reporting and audit activities Maintain ownership of fixed assets and depreciation reporting Create and post journal entries Prepare deposit slips Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable functions Collaborate cross-functionally with team members, each maintaining ownership of designated financial responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems preferred
