About The Position

The Financial Services Representative I is responsible for delivering personalized customer service by engaging in financial conversations with clients and prospects to assess their needs and provide suitable solutions. This role emphasizes maintaining client relationships in alignment with First Interstate Bank's service commitments and core values.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1-3 years banking or related experience required.
• Attention to detail, including verbal and written instructions.
• Effective use of tact and diplomacy as it relates to clients and co-workers.
• Working knowledge and use of a personal computer, Microsoft programs, and strong 10-key skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Delivers personalized customer service in person and over the phone, answering client questions, assisting with issues, and offering solutions.
• Performs Teller duties including a variety of financial transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, processing loan payments, and counting currency and coin accurately.
• Opens and maintains a variety of products including consumer and business checking and savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and consumer credit cards.
• Holds financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions; identifies referral opportunities to other lines of business.
• Builds client relationships through outbound and proactive measures.
