Our Newest Opportunity: Summary: The Financial Services Data Intern will support the Financial Services Data Strategy team through hands-on, internship-level work focused on data quality, reporting support, documentation, and operational assistance. This role is designed to provide exposure to how data supports business operations across Wealth Management, Retirement Plan Services, and Executive Benefits, while prioritizing practical learning and execution over strategic ownership. This role will work closely with team members to learn core business processes, validate and analyze data, assist with documentation of data models and integrations, and support a variety of operational and project-based initiatives across the Financial Services organization.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in data analytics, business operations, digital transformation, or financial services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • A self-starter who’s eager to learn, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Comfortable performing both analytical work and routine operational tasks as part of an internship experience.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors: Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or Data Analytics.
  • Coursework or experience in data analysis is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support data quality efforts by validating, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
  • Assist with reporting tasks, including data preparation, basic analysis, and summarizing findings for internal use.
  • Help document data models, automation workflows, and system integrations to support long-term team knowledge and scalability.
  • Conduct data-related research to support ongoing projects, enhancements, or process improvements.
  • Participate in data migration, cleanup, or inventory efforts as needed to support broader team initiatives.
  • Assist with operational and project management tasks, such as organizing documentation, maintaining project inventories, and supporting ad-hoc requests.
  • Collaborate with teams across Wealth, Retirement, and Executive Benefits to gain exposure to how data supports different areas of Financial Services.
  • Support general business needs, including assisting with internal events, meetings, and other administrative or logistical tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in team meetings and learning opportunities to build understanding of financial services operations and data usage.
