About The Position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Financial Service Representative II to join our team of outstanding professionals at our Southampton Financial Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Duties include but are not limited to: Navigate multiple systems to professionally perform Service I and II task in person and by telephone/email with a high degree of accuracy and speed in a high-volume, fast-paced financial center environment. Service I task include, but are not limited to, processing monetary/non-monetary transactions, balancing cash drawers, servicing debit cards, and performing account maintenance, as well as conducting other Service I related task. Service II task include, but are not limited to, processing disputes/fraud and wire transfers, removing joint account owners and POD beneficiaries, servicing IRA accounts and safety deposit boxes, and accepting/revoking power of attorneys, as well as conducting other Service II related task. Professionally correspond with consumer and business members and provide superior member service. Consistently meet or exceed established performance objectives and operational standards. Engage in relationship building discussions with members to identify financial needs. Maintain in-depth product and service knowledge in order to refer products and services that best fit the members’ needs. Refer business, mortgage, insurance, and investment products and services. Assist members with various online products and services offered. Appropriately handle member complaints and resolve problems. Properly verify members’ identification and ensure confidentiality of members’ information.

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Possess a minimum of one year of similar or related customer/member service experience within a financial service environment.
  • (Internal) Possess a minimum of one year of experience as a successful Financial Service Representative I at SC Federal that consistently meets or exceeds performance objectives and operational standards.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with members and employees in person and by telephone/email.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to successfully perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and speed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to provide superior member/customer service.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to professionally handle member complaints with a successful outcome.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to engage in relationship building discussions.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to identify members’ needs and refer products and services.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Possess demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task.
