About The Position

Responsible for working as an active member of the Branch Office sales/service team; complying with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements established for the Retail Services function; developing customer relationships in order to take advantage of additional selling and cross-selling opportunities; communicating with management and staff personnel with respect to sales objectives, sales performance, and other factors affecting the sales/service effort; preparing various forms and reports and providing information.

Requirements

• Education/Training: A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required; specialized banking education and training; Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
• Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, analytical, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills; strong PC skills; a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services; a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures; technical supervisory skills and sufficient skills to provide assistance in training of branch staff; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.
• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience normally required.

Responsibilities

• Solicits new business from present and prospective customers; maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
• Provides sales information on a timely basis in order that this information may be included as part of monthly and year-to-date sales performance reports.
• Develops quarterly individual sales plan to define action steps to be taken that will achieve individual sales goals.
• Performs all the responsibilities of a Teller as needed. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services in order to ascertain customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.
• Provides direct service to customers of the bank with respect to deposit, loan, trust, and other miscellaneous products and services; approves or rejects loan applications within individual lending authority.
• Assists customer in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments as necessary; provides help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
• Performs special projects and other tasks as assigned.
• Complies with established operating policies and procedures in order to support the Bank’s adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
• Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
• Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.
• Actively participates in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.
• Follows FSR Priorities as defined in the Retail Routines
