Role: Assists members with their consumer lending needs, analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on lending policy. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 25% Interviews customer loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition. 20% Analyzes current financial position of customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Forward the loan request to underwriters for decision. 10% Establishes the terms and conditions of a loan and reviews them with the member. 20% Explains loan programs and products to members, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options. 5% Keeps informed of current trends in consumer credit. 5% Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections. 5% Authorize release of collateral on existing loans, changes in loan terms, waivers of payments, due date change, etc. 5% Participates in sales development activities. 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: 1. Provide informed, prompt, and accurate service and support to all members and associates by accurately processing and relaying loan decisions to members within a timely manner and responding to messages and correspondence within 24 hours. 2. Meet or exceed assigned loan volume (dollars and/or numbers). 3. Assist in maintaining a 60-day delinquency rate at or below 1.10% of loan portfolio for the Credit Union. 4. Assist in maintaining a charge-off rate of no more than .50% of loan portfolio for the Credit Union. 5. Sell assigned volume of loan insurance products. 6. Meet or exceed the minimum established incentive goal each month. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, accurate manner. Knowledge and Skills: Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
