The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has an opening for a Financial Sector Experts/Senior Financial Sector Expert in its Monetary and Capital Markets (MCM) Department, Global Markets Analysis (GA) Division. The main objectives of the GA Division include striving to be at the leading edge of financial market developments for advanced economies and emerging markets, by monitoring markets on a daily basis, gathering market intelligence, and analyzing financial market developments and linkages. The duties and responsibilities of the Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert include monitoring global financial market developments and producing analyses of key financial vulnerabilities, including linkages between the financial sector and the macroeconomy. The role also involves assuming responsibility for covering one or more regions for the daily Global Markets Monitor, conducting financial and peer analysis related to equity and cryptocurrency markets, and developing state-of-the-art tools to assess asset market valuations. Additionally, the expert will provide regular and in-depth monitoring of corporate earnings, conduct innovative analysis to assess and monitor risks and vulnerabilities in the banking sector, and assist in developing policy recommendations for financial policymakers.
