About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fund Administration team at Mercer. This role will be based in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The Fund Administration team supports a growing number of collective investment trusts and mutual funds. As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will lead all aspects of financial statement production for our investment portfolios and support other fund administration functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. We will count on you to: Lead the preparation and review of financial statements for mutual funds, collective investment trusts, and other investment vehicles. Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements. Coordinate audit processes with external auditors, service providers, and internal teams. Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and drive process improvements and automation. Monitor changes in accounting standards and assist with implementation of new regulatory requirements. Provide training and technical guidance to staff on regulatory changes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification or candidate preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in mutual fund administration, investment company financial reporting, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Regulation S-X, SEC reporting, and investment company accounting practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven track record of driving process automation and efficiency improvements.
