Our Finance Department is hiring a Financial Reporting Accountant for a hybrid position in our Rockville, MD office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reporting deliverables (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare a monthly financial reporting package for leadership, including variance analysis, trend commentary, and key reporting schedules
  • Prepare debt reporting support schedules and monthly/quarterly lender reporting package components, ensuring accuracy and consistency with financial statements
  • Partner with GL Accounting and FP&A to gather inputs, validate results, and resolve reporting discrepancies prior to final distribution
  • Maintain and update reporting templates and supporting schedules, ensuring timely delivery and strong documentation
  • Assist with audit support and reporting requests by compiling financial data, tie-outs, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing reporting support, historical actuals, and variance insights
