About The Position

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant II to join our Corporate Finance team onsite at our Greeley, Colorado headquarters. This role plays a key part in the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosures, supports IFRS reporting where applicable, and partners closely with internal teams and external auditors. The position offers broad exposure to complex accounting topics, external reporting, and high visibility projects, making it an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to grow in a dynamic corporate environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience; combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial reporting and disclosure requirements; familiarity with IFRS preferred.
  • Solid general ledger knowledge, including consolidation accounting and foreign currency translation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with plant personnel, corporate and executive management, Treasury, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate training and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP and IFRS financial statements, including footnote disclosures, with a strong understanding of applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation; respond to inquiries from external auditors.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits, including coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with other external reporting requirements, including lenders, regulatory bodies, and other third parties, as applicable.
  • Research U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting topics and document conclusions.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Support special projects as needed, including bond offerings, acquisitions, restructurings, or other strategic initiatives.
