About The Position

The Financial Planning Systems Analyst is responsible for the operational management and enhancements of the planning systems and data across all business units and corporate FP&A. This person is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancements of the performance and functionality of the planning and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 years in industry or consulting, with 2 years emphasis on planning systems
  • Experience in implementing and administering a planning system, preference for Vena
  • Experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Experience with data transformation and dashboard reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience in developing and disseminating detailed reports to executives
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills
  • Strong Change Management Skills
  • Must be located in the Chicago, IL, surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the current multisystem (e.g., Vena, Yardi, and Argus) planning environment for segment and corporate FP&A teams
  • Manage day to day system administration and support the FP&A team to help understand and use the financial tools and data effectively
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across financial planning and reporting systems
  • Provide systems support for monthly and quarterly forecasting and reporting processes
  • Utilize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools to provide additional data transformations between systems
  • Manage vendors for support, periodic upgrades, escalation, etc.
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders and IT teams to create and document business requirements
  • Lead, drive, and refine systems were needed to support existing and new requirements with minimal disruptions
  • Design, build, and roll out new solutions for planning, data management, and reporting
  • Support FP&A's ongoing data needs
  • Advance efforts to move offline and Excel work into systems
