About The Position

KRM Generational Wealth Advisors , a premier Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group practice, is expanding and currently seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven Financial Planning Analyst . The Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting KRM’s advisors by preparing financial plans, conducting research, and ensuring that client meetings are productive, informed, and focused on delivering value. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to a high-functioning advisory team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Active SIE, Series 63, and Series 6 required; Series 7 preferred
  • MN Life, Accident & Health insurance license preferred
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and servicing tools
  • Experience in investment operations, with working knowledge of systems like ENV2 and NetX360 (or a willingness to learn quickly) is a plus
  • Maintain a high level of organization, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional credentials such as CFP®, WMCP®, RICP®, CFA®, are a plus
  • MN Life, Accident & Health insurance license preferred
  • Experience in investment operations, with working knowledge of systems like ENV2 and NetX360 (or a willingness to learn quickly) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with advisors to prepare for client meetings by creating comprehensive financial planning reports and summaries.
  • Prepare and modify financial plans for new and existing clients in PX planning software.
  • Interpret plan outputs and summarize findings for advisors to present in client-facing conversations.
  • Conduct research and run plan scenarios on retirement planning, investment planning, tax strategies, education funding, insurance needs, and estate planning.
  • Review, prepare and update client information as needed for client review meetings.
  • Support plan updates and track progress on open items related to financial planning recommendations.
  • Stay up to date and informed on industry changes, attending webinars or classes as needed to stay current on current market conditions.
  • Support client enrollment in Retirement Distribution Accounts and Disbursal Services initiatives.
  • Assist with investment proposals and model updates where applicable.
  • Assist with insurance illustrations and risk product updates where applicable
  • Maintain a high level of organization, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with investment operations and service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Benefits

  • This is a full-time, salaried position based in our Edina, MN office.
  • Salary range is $75,000-100,000, commensurate with experience and licensure.
