About The Position

The Financial Planning Analyst at Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization. This position involves developing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to guide decision-making and improve business performance. The analyst will work closely with various teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data, ultimately contributing to the firm's mission of advocating for the Latino immigrant community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Master's degree a plus
  • Two years of professional experience as an accountant, financial analyst, or data programmer AND/OR valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certificate with at least one year of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or computer programmer analyst
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
  • Advanced skills on Microsoft Excel

  • FP&A software (Jedox, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Accounting software (Sage Intacct, SAP, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Develop ad hoc analysis for decision leaders within the organization
  • Develop live budgets & forecast models based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements as the business grows
  • Perform cost analysis for the firm based on established business KPIs and drivers
  • Work with others on various planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting
  • Develop cash flow reports and projections based on financial statements and known planned activities
  • Develop business cases to support pricing decisions and create innovative strategies for cost reduction
  • Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data: develop deep, actionable insights to drive business performance by monitoring variances and identifying trends
  • Analyze revenue & expense trends and variances and update budgets as required
  • Leverage our firms' analytics tools and software through our system integrations to build performance dashboards, automated KPIs, scenario planning and other analytics
