About The Position

The Financial Planner & Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and effective performance of the accounting function and providing accounting support to company management in order to help the company achieve fiscal goals.  The FP&A partners with the Controller to ensure that the company’s accounting function is performed timely, effectively, and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suiteand advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting,Financeor related degree preferred.
  • 7years ofaccountingexperience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Prior working knowledge of ERPor Accountingsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to fully understand end-to-end distribution and inventory/COGS month end close processes and systems toidentifygaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with the CFO to plan andimplement the company’s financial strategy.
  • Proactively help inredesignprocesses and implementation of solutions with a focus on automation.
  • Manage the company’s financial accounts, budget, cash, and financial assets.
  • Managethe company’sfinancial transactions and provide cash flow forecasting.
  • Partner with the CFO and Controller to prepare the monthly financial statement presentation.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
  • Prepare documentation forexternal auditors.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.
  • Coordinateannualaudits andassistthe CFO in running audits.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensureaccuratereporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Provide support for month-end closeprocesses.
  • Manage various projects as directed by CFO.
  • Perform other related dutiesand responsibilitiesas assigned.
