The Financial Operations Representative is responsible for supporting core financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of transactions. This role focuses on accounts payable, customer invoicing, and month-end closing activities, working closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain efficient financial operations. Key responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, preparing and issuing customer invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with journal entries and miscellaneous reconciliations during month-end close. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred, or prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable processes, customer invoicing, and month-end closing support.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in analyzing and resolving discrepancies in financial data with attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable Verify invoice details, match with purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies. Work with corporate transactional service team to coordinate payments in accordance with company policies. Initiate new-vendor setups and respond to miscellaneous vendor inquiries.
  • Customer Invoicing Generate and issue customer invoices in conjunction with the customer service team. Ensure accuracy of billing information and timely delivery to customers. Issue customer credits for quality returns as determined by the quality team. Address customer billing questions and resolve issues promptly.
  • Month-End Closing Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries. Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data. Complete other miscellaneous month-end closing items as needed. Collaborate with finance team to meet closing deadlines.
  • General Financial Operations Resolve discrepancies in financial data. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency. Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
