In addition to launching exciting new clean energy products and services, we're a national leader in community solar and provide solar developers, utilities, and municipalities with a technology and services platform to manage their clean energy program offerings. We are a mission driven, 100% employee-owned company that's growing rapidly. We work out of a fantastic co-working space located in midtown Manhattan, and support remote and hybrid work environments with many employees choosing to go into the office a couple days each week. Although we are open to remote candidates, very strong preference will be giving to people local to the NYC region for this role. We're seeking a detail-oriented and curious Financial Operations Intern to support our Billing and Reporting Team. This is an opportunity to gain real-world experience in billing, reporting, and clean energy while working in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll assist in analyzing monthly billing cycles for community solar customers and help ensure clear communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Interest in clean energy, billing systems, and process improvement
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Responsibilities
- Support monthly billing operations for community solar customers
- Assist in initiating billing cycles and review billing results
- Help identify and implement workflow improvements for efficiency
- Contribute to internal reporting tools that summarize billing outcomes
- Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain accurate data and processes.
- Participate in customer outreach regarding billing inquiries as needed
