About The Position

Financial Operations Analyst Senior Department: 13212 Enterprise Corporate - Managed Health Clinical insights & Operations: Contract Management Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 8am-5pm, M-F, Remote Variability in hours based on various project requirements Pay Range $41.10 - $61.65 Major Responsibilities: Prepare financial analyses and risk assessments 1)Product line cost and profitability analyses. 2)Physician Health Organization performance analyses. 3)Clinical Integration incentive analyses. 4)Risk assessments: Global risk, risk transfer payment, and risk premium. 5)Financial modeling for new product lines and other initiatives. 6)Payor contract analyses 7)Other ad hoc analyses as identified. Perform annual forecast, budget, and monthly close activities 1)In collaboration with operating units, prepares the annual forecast and budget. 2)Provides operational perspective in analyzing budget variances in month end close. 3)Performs monthly close activities and reconciliations. 4)Reviews junior level staff’s work. Prepare financial and operational reports 1)Create Decision Support reports independently including qualifying the data. Interpret the results properly and ensure adequate presentation. 2)Create reports from other systems, including but not limited to General Ledger and Enterprise Reporting systems. 3)Generate monthly dashboard reports. 4)Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to the board. Education/Experience Required: • 5 years accounting/finance experience in health insurance, hospital, and/or physician groups • BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: • Advanced analytical skills, including ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and reach sound conclusions • Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite • Good communication skills, including verbal communication and business writing • Working knowledge in healthcare insurance industry, hospital operations, and/or physician practices • Good project management and time management skills • Good interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate at all levels within the organization • CPA or CHFP preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines, with overtime as needed. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to work as part of a team. • Ability to be self-directed and operate in ambiguous environments. • Ability to travel to/from corporate support centers or other locations as needed. • Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor at all times. Requirements

  • 5 years accounting/finance experience in health insurance, hospital, and/or physician groups
