About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: The Financial Navigator Associate (FNA) under the supervision of the Director, Manager, or designee in collaboration with clinic physicians, advanced practice providers, and/or nursing staff, provides effective patient financial assistance education to assigned patients in the Oncology clinic setting. The FNA serves as part of the Oncology team working with patients on coverage for medications in the Oncology/Infusion and clinic setting. The (FNA) helps patients analyze and sign up for the best health insurance options available to them, taking into consideration their specific health concerns and financial situation. For patients where financial burdens exist due to ongoing health issues, the FNA facilitates other resources such as foundation financial assistance, free and reduced medication discounts, and other support. The FNA Works closely with the clinical, pharmacy and billing. FNA will maintain a detailed understanding of healthcare insurance policies, drug information, medical benefits, medical terminology and pharmacy benefits. The FNA will coordinate and communicate patient updates to care teams to assist in optimizing patient outcomes. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of relevant work experience with a strong healthcare insurance background

Nice To Haves

  • Medical billing for physician services preferred
