About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: The Financial Navigator Lead under the supervision of the Executive Director of Physician Practice Management or Clinic Director oversees the onboarding of new Insurance Verification Representatives, Financial Navigators and Reception roles. The Financial Navigator Lead supervises and guides the team to help patients and staff navigate financial and insurance issues. The Financial Navigator Lead works closely with the clinics, pharmacy and billing. The Financial Navigator Lead will oversee the daily operations of an insurance verification team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with healthcare regulations. They will act as a subject matter expert and a point of escalation for complex issues. They will guide and support change and process improvement opportunities within the department and work with leadership to set standards and execute improvement plans. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide supervision, training, support and mentoring to the new financial, insurance and reception staff in Ambulatory and Specialty offices at SRHC and Affiliates. Training and support to include prior authorizations, insurance verification for outpatient procedures and services, improving processes and efficiency, resolving complex cases involving finance, insurance and billing, while ensuring quality care. They will act as a point person for issues involving insurance or patient socio-economic issues to help improve the patient experience. The Financial Navigator Lead will maintain a detailed understanding of healthcare insurance policies, medical benefits, medical terminology and pharmacy benefits and will coordinate and communicate patient updates to care teams to assist in optimizing patient outcomes. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience Three years of relevant work experience with a strong healthcare insurance background Medical billing for physician services preferred Required Registration/License/Certification N/A
