About The Position

The Financial Management Manager at Lockheed Martin is responsible for leading the Missiles and Fire Control Financial Cost Accounting and Systems team. This role involves guiding a diverse team in achieving both task-based and goal-based objectives related to cost accounting and systems reporting. The manager will oversee various accounting functions, including financial information compilation, journal entry processing, reconciliations, and costing rates review, while also championing team development and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience with month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of SAP and accounting processes, supporting multiple company codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform reviews of staff work and provide constructive feedback.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree; CPA or CPA candidate.
  • 15+ years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Leadership experience at Lockheed Martin.
  • Experience with the 1LMX program and SAP/ERP conversions in the A&D industry.
  • Experience supporting large M&A transactions.
  • Experience with Revenue from Contracts (ASC606) in an A&D company.
  • Experience with Financial Statement, Orders, and Sales reporting at Lockheed Martin.
  • Experience working with external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team through month-end close processes.
  • Manage monthly accounting processes with a focus on internal controls.
  • Review completed staff work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support and prepare for the 1LMX ERP implementation, particularly in costing rates and regulatory reporting.
  • Connect with other finance teams supporting MFC accounting activities.
  • Coach, train, and provide feedback to the team, fostering a culture of continuous feedback.
  • Lead and execute special projects for the organization as required.
