About The Position

The Financial Management Analyst will serve within the Naval Medical Command, focusing on formulating budgets, evaluating budget requests, and managing financial resources. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and supporting the organization's financial planning and control processes.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Experience utilizing integrated federal financial management systems to include NERP and sub-systems to extract data.
• Experience identifying and resolving system problems.
• Experience maintaining data integrity.

Nice To Haves

• Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

Responsibilities

• Formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.
• Review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting obligations, and expenditures.
• Provide information and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
• Perform specialized work involving forecasting and interpreting functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
• Track and control funds for special programs; analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
