About The Position

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Funds Administration Division of NAVOCEANO, Stennis Space Center, MS. This position involves preparing budget execution reports, maintaining accounting documentation, reviewing reports for compliance, analyzing financial information, and advising executive management on complex financial issues.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
• Must achieve Financial Management Level I certification within prescribed timelines.
• Must meet time-in-grade requirements for current federal employees.

• Experience executing encumbrance documents and reconciling them.
• Experience reviewing reports and compiling data for accurate responses.
• Experience communicating with program managers to ensure execution plans align with benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budget execution reports and analysis for direct and reimbursable resources.
• Maintain accounting documentation on funding increases and decreases to annual resources.
• Review reports, documentation, and work papers to ensure compliance with financial standards.
• Apply financial and accounting standards in review of internal controls.
• Analyze and evaluate complex financial information to determine the most effective and feasible course of action.
• Perform budget execution, trend analysis, and financial management work involving monitoring of obligations incurred and actual expenditures of funds.
• Create written briefs and conduct presentations to key officials and stakeholders.
• Advise executive management on unusual, complex, or controversial problems.
