About The Position

The Home Equity Specialist plays a crucial role in this mission by originating high-quality home equity line of credit (HELOC) loans. This position requires effective communication with customers, thorough documentation gathering, application evaluation, and the closing of approved loans. The specialist will be responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned loan production goals while maintaining accurate pipeline management reports to forecast future opportunities. In this role, the Home Equity Specialist will actively prospect for new HELOC customers through inbound call campaigns and educate them on the various HELOC products and eligibility requirements. The position involves gathering financial documents and processing loan applications, evaluating them based on credit worthiness, income verification, and asset valuation. Once the applications are evaluated, the specialist will present completed packages for underwriting approval and coordinate closings with settlement agents and title companies. Compliance with all applicable lending laws and regulations is paramount, and the specialist will also participate in continued education and training as required. The Home Equity Specialist will perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the company.
