The Financial Eligibility Specialist provides support to individuals and families as they complete financial reviews and documentation for the Behavioral Health Division of LifePath Systems within a trauma-informed and person-centered care model. This position assists individuals and other workforce members to ensure financial assessments are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. The Financial Eligibility Specialist must be able to thrive in a busy, multitasking environment while engaging in activities such as assessing an individual’s financial status, completing financial assessments, running reports, and various other duties as assigned by the Manager of Authority Support. The Financial Eligibility Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service and requires the ability to explain available services and financial responsibility to those on their financial caseload. The Financial Eligibility Specialist must also be able to communicate the financial needs of those served by contracted providers and accurately enter data and other pertinent information into various systems. This position requires attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive approach to duties and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude. The position offers the opportunity for considerable latitude in independent judgment. The Financial Eligibility Specialist will work closely with their team and supervisor to ensure all information is communicated accurately. The Financial Eligibility Specialist will also ensure compliance with TAC requirements as well as UM and Medicaid guidelines while exhibiting a strong emphasis on, and understanding of, person-centered recovery, adherence to trauma-informed perspective, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services. This position will report directly to the Manager of Authority Support. Financial Eligibility Works with individuals to complete initial and annual financials and ensure completion of documentation. Contractor Financial Eligibility Communicates regularly with contracted providers to ensure financial documentation has been completed. Financial Tracking Works with treatment team to flag chart on expiring financials, notifying providers prior to service delivery and schedules to meet with individual to update financials as needed. Works cooperatively with individuals and staff to meet the needs of individuals while following agency procedures. Other financial duties. Position will be required to assist with coverage at either location, Plano or McKinney, as needed.
