About The Position

Zurich Cover More is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join our Group in North America. The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for reconciling premium and/or claims activity for various domestic partners. This includes reconciling activity between expected and actual premiums received, variance reporting, reporting of actual results, and preparing journal entry support. This position will have direct interaction with various domestic entities which will require excellent communication and problem resolution skills.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting field preferred but not required
• 2-4 years accounting experience and/or experience with data compilation in Excel
• Experience with foreign currency is beneficial but not required
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Must be a self-starter and willing to work overtime when needed
• Ability to multi-task within multiple software applications
• Team player with good problem-solving skills and willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Reconcile premium payments from domestic partners
• Reconcile claims activity for domestic partners
• Prepare variance reporting and work directly with internal partners to resolve outstanding variances
• Review general ledger activity at the partner level on regular intervals and research/resolve outstanding balances
• Assist in the problem solving of discrepancies
• Prepare internal management reporting
• Prepare weekly manual deposits and respective journal entry support relating to these deposits
• Assist in project work related to domestic activity
• Provide backup for the Global Premium Analyst
• Communicate results effectively with internal and external contacts
