About The Position

SNA International seeks a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst. SNA International’s team works together in pursuit of the same cause: build a safe and just world by empowering organizations in the use of forensics, biometrics and identity intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory (ADFIL) in Dover, DE. You will work closely with resource management, logistics, and divisions to provide actionable insights and maintain data accuracy and integrity. This is a 100% onsite, part-time position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred) in finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or related field. Will consider applicants with experience equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Experience with financial databases.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must be US citizens and able to pass a NAC-I Security Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze financial data and non-financial data to create models to support forecasting, budgeting, operational, and strategic planning.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis: Examine large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to support operational and scenario planning.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with resource management and divisions to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in scenario planning, risk analysis, and strategic initiatives.
