About The Position

The Financial Counselor Lead position at Gadsden Regional Medical Center is a full-time role focused on managing self-pay accounts. The primary responsibility is to ensure that payment is collected in full or satisfactory payment arrangements are made before the patient is discharged from service. This includes estimating and collecting patient balances due after insurance verification, which encompasses deductibles, copayments, and cases of insufficient coverage. Additionally, the Financial Counselor Lead is responsible for obtaining FAA and all required documents from patients in accordance with Charity policy.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 3 years experience in a related position with required upfront collections.

• Estimate and collect patient balances due after insurance verification, including deductibles and copayments.
