Collaborates with manager of Reproductive Medicine Center (RMC) to ensure that accurate and timely execution of the responsibilities among financial counselors are consistent with Froedtert Hospital and Medical College of Wisconsin standards, policies, procedures, operational goals, and objectives. Responsible for remaining current with new guidelines, regulations, codes and trends in healthcare billing and reimbursement. Responsible for providing training to financial counselors, providers and other RMC staff. In collaboration with the manager designs and monitors programs that promote continual quality improvement and corporate compliance. Monitors ATTAIN partnership. Serves as a liaison to the Patient Financial Services staff for Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Assesses patient financial needs, councils, and assists patients through the financial process specific to Reproductive Medicine Center. Provide patients education, through financial consultation, on financial options available. Assist with applications for financing programs. Works with other clinic staff to answer patient questions regarding insurance benefits, financing programs available, and package pricing for infertility related services. Provide exceptional customer service and exhibit positive interpersonal relations while working closely with preauthorization, care management, and appropriate department personnel.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare/revenue cycle functions (or other business office), case management, or social work is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Social Work, or related field is required.
  • In lieu of degree, a High School or GED and an additional 4 years of knowledge gained from focused experience is required.
  • Experience and/or understanding of health care, medical insurance and procedural coding is preferred.
  • Experience using computerized billing systems in a service industry is preferred.
  • Epic, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
