Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is necessary. A master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Previous experience as a controller, assistant controller, or senior accountant in a mid-to-large-sized organization is desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP), ERP systems, and Excel.
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data, identify issues, and develop innovative solutions. Shows precision and accuracy.
  • Communication and People Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership: Proven history of leading, developing, and motivating teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Ethics and Integrity: High ethical standards, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead budget development, forecasting, and tracking key performance indicators.
  • Manage internal controls and ensure financial accuracy across all transactions.
  • Coordinate annual audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members to support their growth.
  • Advise leaders on financial impacts of strategic decisions.
  • Improve finance processes and support automation efforts.
  • Oversee financial planning activities and support long‑term business goals.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and standards.
  • Support cost and performance analysis to guide operational decisions.
