The Financial Control function is primarily focused on ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the firm’s books and records with an emphasis on general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle of the business. As a Financial Control Associate, on the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) team, your role will be responsible for supporting several trading businesses across multiple asset classes. Some of the most common functions and activities that are owned by Financial Controllers are daily and monthly profit and loss (P&L) reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, balance sheet substantiation and metric reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, manual accounting / bookings to the general ledger, and operating systems as well as reporting controls, and the month end close process & coordination.
