About The Position

The Financial Controller – Visy Beverage Can is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Beverage Can division. Leading the Beverage Can Finance Team, managing financial performance across Victorian Beverage Can Manufacturing sites, this role is responsible for financial governance, decision support, and driving profitability across multiple manufacturing sites. As a key member of the Beverage Can Leadership Team, this role provides financial insights to support operational and commercial objectives, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and process optimisation. Reporting to the GM Finance – Primary Packaging, with a dotted line to the GM – Visy Beverage Can, the Financial Controller will act as a key business partner, identifying financial risks and opportunities while championing automation, process simplification, and value creation.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience in financial leadership, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Commercial finance experience, including revenue management and margin expansion experience in B2B businesses
  • Experience managing multi-site financial operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, and inventory management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies in finance.
  • Experience in capital investment and financial modelling.
