A Day in the Life The Financial Consultant will serve as the end to end finance owner for expense P&L management across select Global Commercial Operations (GCO) functions. This role is accountable for headcount, discretionary, and operating expenses, while partnering closely with functional leaders to provide strategic insight on performance management through KPIs specific to each function (training capacity, capital deployment, resource capacity vs demand, return on investment, growth opportunities, etc.). The consultant will drive financial rigor, transparency, and decision support to enable disciplined growth and efficient resource deployment. Reporting to the FP&A Director, this role serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to functional and financial leaders, providing forward looking analysis, scenario modeling, and recommendations that influence strategic and operational outcomes. · Own end‑to-end expense management across multiple P&Ls, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis · Consolidate and analyze operating expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets and enterprise priorities · Partner with functional leaders to translate business plans into accurate forecasts and actionable financial insights · Support Adhoc requests on investments and scenario planning · Navigate change effectively and adapt to evolving business needs · Identify and implement process improvements in environments with ambiguous or incomplete data · Drive cost optimization initiatives through data‑driven analysis, scenario modeling, and ROI assessments · Develop and maintain standardized reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to improve expense visibility and accountability · Lead month‑end and quarter‑end reviews, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions · Support long‑range planning and investment decisions with strategic financial modeling · Analyze unclear or imperfect data to support decision‑making · Evolve from transactional reporting to trusted advisor by influencing decisions in these functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities with experience preparing materials for senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, Power BI/Tableau).
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization (e.g., MedTech, manufacturing, or commercial operations).
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment.
