About The Position

The Financial Advisor – Client Service is responsible for delivering high-quality advisory support and ongoing service to retirement plan clients, plan participants, and associated private wealth relationships. This role focuses on deepening existing client relationships, providing responsive plan-level and participant-level guidance, and supporting incoming church retirement plans through a consultative, service-oriented approach. In addition to servicing retirement plans and participants, this role has the opportunity to build and manage a personal book of private wealth clients, primarily through relationships developed with church leaders, pastors, and plan participants. The Financial Advisor – Client Service serves as a trusted advisor who balances service excellence with thoughtful relationship development, all within a fiduciary, client-first framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Active FINRA Series 65 license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial advising, retirement plans, or client-facing financial services preferred.
  • Strong financial planning and retirement advisory capabilities.
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to develop long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to build and manage private wealth relationships through trust, service, and advisory excellence.
  • Comfort guiding churches, pastors, and participants through retirement and financial planning decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a regulated environment.
  • Collaborative approach across advisory, operations, and client service teams.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and alignment with BR’s mission and values.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with church, ministry, or nonprofit clients preferred.
  • Understanding of retirement plans including plan sponsor and participant considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Financial Advisor for assigned retirement plan clients and related participant relationships.
  • Provide ongoing financial guidance, education, and support to plan sponsors, pastors, and plan participants.
  • Conduct participant reviews, plan education sessions, and stewardship-focused conversations.
  • Support client retention through proactive communication, responsiveness, and trusted advisory relationships.
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and faith-aligned financial education to clients and participants.
  • Support group education meetings, workshops, and church-based sessions.
  • Ensure all client communications reflect BWR’s fiduciary obligations, service standards, and mission.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, and Retirement Plan Sales teams to resolve client needs efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, recommendations, and service activity in firm systems.
  • Operate in accordance with SEC regulations, fiduciary obligations, and firm policies and procedures.
