The Financial Clearance Representative I serves as a liaison between the organization and the patient's insurance company to facilitate and expedite financial clearance functions required for patient evaluation and treatment. This role involves creating and maintaining records related to financial clearance and acting as a liaison between admissions, authorizations, clinic staff, patient accounting, and physician billing. The Financial Clearance Representative II administers the clinical authorization process and resolves more complex clinical authorization issues. This position also assists with training Financial Clearance Representative I's on eligibility and benefits, reviews reports to monitor unit efficiency, and evaluates problems to appropriately report or resolve such issues.
