About The Position

Mid Penn Bank is actively seeking a Financial Center Assistant Manager to join our team in the Jonestown Road Financial Center in Harrisburg, PA. The Financial Center Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team and operations, working closely with the manager to set goals and ensure achievement of sales and performance objectives. Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years' related work experience or specialized financial education and training normally required.
  • Ability to obtain and properly maintain a National Mortgage Licensing Registration (NMLS #) in order to take applications for loans that are secured by residential real estate is a requirement of this position.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to meet operating needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Supervisor Certification preferred.
  • An Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Notary experience preferred or ability to obtain notary as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and ensures that the Financial Center operates in compliance with the company's operating policies and procedures related to the processing of deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cash handling, and other transactional and security operations.
  • Manages financial center operations, educates staff on policies and procedures, and ensures the office follows sound business practices.
  • Conducts audits and ensures that regulatory and compliance requirements are followed.
  • Ensures financial center has necessary resources to successfully support customer needs (cash, staffing, etc.).
  • Reviews work, provides guidance, and makes decisions within scope of authority.
  • Maintains security controls to protect the facility against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
  • Assists new and existing customers with various financial needs including opening and servicing deposit accounts, originating consumer loans, and conducting loan closings.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand customer relationships by educating and offering additional products and services, making referrals and introductions to other lines of business, processing transactions on the teller line as needed.
  • Partners with the manager to establish specific sales and service goals for the office and implements strategies to achieve these goals.
  • Leads team by example as a top performer in sales and service goal achievement.
  • Supervises assigned employees, manages schedules, assigns work, and monitors performance.
  • Acts as a role model and ensures customers are treated with respect and that all team members provide exceptional customer service.
