About The Position

VP Racing is seeking a full-time on-site Financial Business Analyst to join our Accounting Department at our Corporate Headquarters (San Antonio, Texas). This critical role will work face-to-face with department leaders to provide data-driven insights and reporting that power operational efficiency, strategic improvements, and smarter decision-making. Requirements

• The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability.
• We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; AND at least two (2) years of experience in business analytics; OR any combination of education and experience that results in the applicable skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive data-informed business decisions and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Determine key data points and metrics necessary for tracking and enhancing business performance.
• Evaluate and implement Business Intelligence (BI) tools as needed to support organizational goals.
• Develop clear, easy-to-interpret reports that translate data into actionable insights.
• Partner with leadership to prioritize and implement recommended changes.
• Apply statistical methods to identify opportunities for operational improvement and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with department managers to establish consistent data collection standards and guidelines.
• Support leaders by analyzing ROI on capital expenditures and tracking spend against forecasts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall business objectives.
