About The Position

The Financial Assistant at Hard Rock Cafe plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of the Cafe. Reporting directly to both the General Manager and the Director of Accounting, this position ensures compliance with company policies while overseeing accounting, payroll, and human resources functions. The Financial Assistant is responsible for maintaining financial controls, managing audits, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting of financial activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and initiative in a high-energy environment.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to present information effectively in small group situations.
  • Ability to work with interruptions and process new information quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple language abilities are a plus, with fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specific duties related to Accounting, Payroll, and Human Resources under a standardized format.
  • Oversee financial and administrative controls at the Cafe, including Cash, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Human Capital.
  • Maintain and enforce Cafe financial, Human Resources, and Administrative controls per Company policy.
  • Perform steps from the Company audit program regularly and report exceptions to the General Manager.
  • Ensure compliance in the hiring process for hourly employees and document accordingly.
  • Report employee relations issues, public liability, and worker's compensation issues to the General Manager and Corporate contacts promptly.
  • Liaise with Hard Rock auditors and external auditors during audit visits and ensure corrective actions are taken post-audit.
  • Accurately enter invoices and new hires in a timely manner, ensuring proper approvals are documented.
  • Complete or review the House Account reconciliation monthly and notify the General Manager of at-risk receivables.
  • Ensure timely receipt of merchandise in Radius prior to physical inventory counts.
  • Maintain personnel files, vendor invoices, and compliance files as per Company Policy.
  • Present a professional image to employees, management, and guests, and attend relevant functions and meetings.
