About The Position

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area. This Financial Assistance Specialist opportunity is a full-time remote position. Team members must reside in Florida. This role requires onsite training in Tampa, Plant City, and Clearwater for 10 business days. The schedule is M-W 8:00AM-4:30PM / TH-FR 8:30AM - 5:00PM (after training, the team member will work the hours listed above).

Requirements

• 3 years Healthcare customer service or Social Services with High School Diploma
• 1 year Healthcare customer service or Social Services with an Associate's Degree
• Customer service skills
• Administrative and clerical skills
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
• Medical terminology use and understanding
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Computer skills appropriate to position

Nice To Haves

• Preferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded/ underfunded patients

Responsibilities

• Identify ER patients thru bedside assessment and interview who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies.
• Clearly document all activities.
