About The Position

ICF seeks a Financial Analyst for a business portfolio with over $110M of annual revenues from a diverse set of clients including Federal, State, Local, and Commercial clients with a heavy focus on State and Local clients. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the business manager with all aspects of the financial planning and analysis, project forecasting, financial reporting, operational controls, and compliance. This position is a hybrid with an office located in Reston, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 2 years in related/similar roles.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates trustworthiness and upholds the highest ethical standards.
  • Applies critical thinking to gathering and analyzing information from a variety of sources.
  • Makes sound decisions based on organization's priorities and the costs and benefits of various alternative solutions.
  • Makes clear and convincing presentations by organizing ideas for logical presentation and acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business manager in financial strategy, financial planning and forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Help prepare forecast by analyzing project level data, reviewing trends, perform cost and profit analysis on different business areas.
  • Review division level financial statements, monthly results, forecasts, and budgets to assess financial condition of the division in an effort to drive improved profitability and business performance.
  • Regularly track and report financial performance.
  • Interact with Operations and various corporate groups to help address issues as they arise.
  • Provide divisional business development metrics by tracking bookings, contract backlog and pipeline volume and health.
  • Work on high level financial analysis at the division level to be shared with corporate, as well as project level financial analysis working directly with project managers.
  • Help prepare trainings for the client facing teams to ensure financial acumen across the division.
  • Review project revenue and work closely with project finance controllers and the project managers to ensure monthly close is accurate and timely.
  • Partner and coordinate with the Corporate Accounting & Compliance teams to ensure the division has sound internal controls, risk management, and compliance procedures.
  • Provide input to business manager on the development and implementation of corporate business systems, policies, and programs.
