About The Position

The Financial Analyst at Lockheed Martin plays a crucial role in ensuring that programs meet their financial commitments. This position involves working closely with Finance Management, Program Management, and other analysts to apply Earned Value Management principles to analyze financial and performance data. The analyst will assist in maintaining budgets and forecasts, prepare variance reports, and present findings to upper management and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Proven effective analytical skills.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
• Experience baselining and managing large production and/or development contracts.
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience with LM Space software (Cobra, SAP).
• Previous experience with detailed analysis of data.
• Experience with Excel pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Work with Finance Management, Program Management, CAMs, and Finance Analysts to ensure financial commitments are met.
• Apply Earned Value Management principles to analyze financial and performance data.
• Assist with loading and maintaining budgets and forecasts in the Earned Value Management tool (Cobra).
• Measure cost and schedule performance using Earned Value Management.
• Prepare variance reports including trend analysis on a monthly basis.
• Analyze risks and opportunities related to financial performance.
• Develop presentations for upper management and external customers and present recommendations.
