Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

  • Reviews and consolidates information to prepare standard daily, weekly, and monthly statistical and operating review reports.
  • Assists in the compilation of monthly property reporting packages.
  • Assists in the preparation of the property operating and capital budgets and forecasts.
  • Assists and trains the property departments in the correct and timely use of the Checkbook, Financial Statements, Kronos, and Virtual Roster systems for managing labor and financial results.
  • Works closely with all Departmental Directors and Managers to identify areas of improvement for any Department.
  • Reviews financial statements and schedules, reporting on variances.
  • Prepares and analyzes capital projects, including status tracking, variance analysis, and ROI analysis.
  • Performs activities relating to the monthly close in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Performs various analyses (gaming statistics, labor, etc.) upon request.
  • Prepares account reconciliation and reports to appropriate persons in management, department, and the corporate office.
  • Maintains general ledger system reports.
  • Updates and maintains the company's System of internal Controls as directed by the Gaming Board.
  • Adheres to departmental quality standards.
  • Maintains compliance with the Gaming Board Rules, Standards, and the company's System of internal Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Works within the guidelines established by the company.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least one (1) year of applicable analytical experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of statistics, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, including MS Access.
  • Must be able to meet required deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • MUST be able to obtain/maintain Colorado Support Gaming license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Kronos, Virtual Roster, Timeline, Showcase, Crystal Reporting, and Tableau preferred.
