About The Position

OLV Human Services is seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This role is crucial for driving data-informed decision-making and financial planning, involving tasks such as forecasting, budgeting, and providing financial insights that support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a Not-for-Profit financial role including budgets, projections, cost reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting concepts and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of multi-funded, non-profit organizational structure, laws, and governing regulations.
  • Valid New York State Driver License and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with grant management and program budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and completion of actual, budgeted, and projected financial statements, cost reports, and ad-hoc financial information.
  • Prepare timely filing of cost reports including fiscal and annual Consolidate Fiscal Report (CFR), Ambulatory Health Care Facility (AHCF), and Statewide Standards of Payment (SSOP) reports for Agency funding.
  • Support the CFO in preparing the annual operating and capital budget, revisions, and financial forecasts along with feedback from program leaders.
  • Assist in the consolidated organizational projections and review funding requests and expenses for merit.
  • Work with CFO in the preparation of analytical financial modeling including cashflow and business intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Perform rate analysis, projections, and overall agency/program impact for various rates.
  • Monitor, analyze, and explain variances to managers and inform them of the status and availability of funds.
  • Participate in agency audits and work with auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, document, and maintain effective policies and procedures for financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Utilize expertise with various software systems to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Attend and participate in various internal and external meetings and training courses as required.
