About The Position

The Financial Analyst at Erie Family Health Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance team by gathering and analyzing financial data to create accurate reporting for financial analysis. This position is under the direction of the Finance Manager and involves working independently to identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to financial reporting and audits. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other business degree.
• One (1) year of experience in preparing reports for financial analysis.
• Ability to use the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of financial data.
• Ability to work independently.
• Skilled at manipulating and analyzing complex data sets, systems and processes.
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare billing industry experience.
• EPIC experience.
• AXIOM or other database/SQL experience.
• Medical claim analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing closing tasks and preparing entries required for booking net patient revenue.
• Update monthly revenue reports and contractual adjustments & bad debt.
• Work independently to identify and present cost avoidance and cost recovery opportunities.
• Contribute to preparation of financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing ad hoc analysis including compiling raw financial data as well as reports, graphs and presentations.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
