About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. Regional candidates will have access to our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility. This role is also open to remote candidates in select states. We are seeking a Financial Analyst who is curious about processes and improvements, driven to learn and adapt, comfortable working with large data sets, and proactive in bringing forward potential solutions. In this role, you will read, interpret, and analyze financial statements, asset‑liability reports, allowance for credit loss, investment reports, and other financial documents, providing written and verbal insights on trends and abnormalities to departmental management. You will collaborate as part of a functional team to discuss results, offer insights that support strategies aligned with corporate goals and initiatives, and work with team members to implement departmental strategies that advance organizational objectives. Additionally, you will maintain and continuously update process and procedure documents governing all assigned duties to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Experience in a financial services industry segment, Credit Union experience preferred.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities as needed.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other financial analytic tools; Power BI experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Budgeting or forecasting experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of various allocation methodologies and modeling documentation processes is a plus.
  • Ability to understand model outputs and present meaningful results to management.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and reports, uncover patterns and trends, and provide insights to assist management in making informed financial decisions.
  • Reporting: Update monthly financial data management applications, publish management reports, and prepare various quarterly reports and submission files.
  • Performance Enhancement: Assist the department in implementing projects to enhance performance, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.
  • Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform budget/variance analysis, peer analysis, ALCO reporting, charge off and delinquency reporting, input actual monthly results into financial models, maintain watch list loans within the CECL model, preparation of call report schedules, and other tasks as assigned.
