About The Position

Specific deliverables may include: Database management/maintenance/consolidation of reinsurance recoverable ledger detail information for North America. Support the efforts to maintain bad debt reporting schedules and analysis (monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close). Review and prepare various account reconciliation reported in Blackline. Preparation/documentation of various journal entries including bad debt. Assist with special projects and other assigned duties. Support of North America Finance goals/objectives, as well as those of Chubb Group Finance. Successful candidates should be able to: Demonstrate agility by managing and prioritizing workload in order to meet department and client expectations. Identify areas requiring improvement, assess scope and resources necessary to make improvements and follow through by executing on improvement plans. Advise management on the emergence and progress of deliverables, as well as the appearance of issues or obstacles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting or financial planning & analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational areas and levels
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player with customer service orientation
  • Professional attitude, appearance and demeanor
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Public Accounting experience and/or CPA designation a plus
  • Insurance industry experience beneficial, but not necessary
